Vocabulary StoryTwo childhood friends began to drift apart. The girl lives in her own world, the boy cast away from her memories.  The girl is filled with mirth now with her new friends. The Downside of LoveA cold winter day, pretty cloudy, chance of rain, but I don’t care.  I walk down the murky streets without a care in the world, and it starts to rain.  I’m alone, no umbrella, nothing to shield me from the rain, yet I don’t care.  Everyone around me runs for cover, I don’t follow them, I just continue on.  I reach my one room apartment; I’m drenched from the rain.  I walked into my home, sat on the couch, not bothering to change out of my wet clothes, and turned on the TV.  A rerun of a mushy love story flashes on the screen.  I start to cry. & The Downside of Love
